***A special note regarding Coronavirus and patient care at Excel***
Excel Dental Specialties is open to see you if you have endodontic treatment needs. Priority will be given to patients with extreme pain. As a specialist in tooth pain management, we will do our best to help reduce visits to the Emergency Room due to tooth pain. Our team always adheres to all OSHA and CDC infection control protocols which include strict PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in order to ensure our safety but also our patients' safety.
We have also instructed our team to make sure they stay home should they feel ill. Also, please know that our team has not traveled outside the US or to most affected states in the US in the most recent times. Thankfully all of our staff is in good health!
We know during events like these things can seem uncertain. What we are certain of is our commitment to providing the very best in patient care.
Exceptions: If you currently feel sick or experience any flu-like symptoms, please reschedule your dental appointment and call your physician. This is especially true if you have a fever, dry cough or shortness of breath. The same thing applies if you have had any of these symptoms in the last 48 hours.
Please also reschedule your appointment if you have been in contact with any person who has had Covid-19 positive symptoms within the last two weeks or if you are unsure if you may be symptomatic.
If you feel that you are not in pain, but know that you will need endodontic treatment we will gladly schedule your appointment accordingly. If during this time please be assured, Dr. Yoon will be available on an on-call basis during this time if emergency treatment is needed.
Please understand we will attempt every way possible to #flattenthecurve and fully endorse #socialdistance. Upon arrival, please call the office from your cell phone. We will let you know when to enter. We will be limiting the amount of patients in the waiting room.
As the number of cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) grows in the United States, and Maryland specifically, Excel Dental Specialties is actively following guidelines from the Maryland State Dental Association, which in turn are taking cues from the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners, the Maryland Department of Health, the American Dental Association, and the Center for Disease Control. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our office!
